Quiet times. Bloggoshere review.
I have to admit that there isn’t a great deal to blog about these days. With impending moves and a slight cold to get over, I haven’t been going out much or doing anything very interesting. Even the news is rather slow, so not much worth posting about there. I guess the one big thing to come out of this week is that my fiancée, Em, has finally finished university, completing her last exam on Tuesday.
I’m now hoping she’ll get a kick arse job in Beijing allowing me to stay home all day and resume my Travian career (ha!).
It is, however, Friday and dare I say yet again how quickly the week has flown past. I don’t really like saying that these days because I don’t have very many of them left here in Korea. While I don’t mind leaving Korea, it the prospect of getting everything over to Beijing that causes me some distress. Millie, our rabbit, is by far the largest steak on my plate (maybe a poor choice of words). So far we’ve established;
We can get Millie from Incheon to Hong Kong.
We are able to bring Millie to Beijing.
The only problem now is that we are trying to see if we can get Millie on a plane, as carry on luggage, from Hong Kong to Beijing through Cathy Pacific. As of yet we have been waiting for 2 weeks to find this little bit of information out.
I have to admit we’re becoming a little anxious and Em and I were talking last night of finding alternative living in Korea for Millie should we not be able to take her. With only 7 or so weeks left, it maybe wise to have some sort of backup plan if the worse case scenario was to present itself.
Oh well. We’ll be sweating this one out for a little while yet.
The weekend is looking fairly open at this stage, perhaps I bit of downtown shopping tomorrow afternoon.
The rest of the bloggosphere has been a little more entertaining than staypuff.net has been, so I suggest you read some of the following;
- TCB: Stafford – the first foreigner in Korea to get an iPhone independently?
- An acorn in the dog’s food – Paul deals with unscrupulous co-workers lying about family deaths to leave a job.
- Kiwi Wonju Blogger – Aaron explains why New Zealand still can’t win a cricket series longer than 100 overs.
- Chris gives some helpful hints as to what to send back to family and friends this Christmas period.
- Joe Seoulman – Joe talks about the pros and cons of working at a university, not only in Korea, but in Asia in general.
All very good reads. If you have a blog, Korean related or not, and would liked to be linked here, please send us an email or leave a comment on the post.
Have a great weekend all!
