Working well today.
Since I’ve been laboring at work non-stop since 8:30 this morning, I thought I’d take a breather since I’m making excellent progress with my lesson planning.
As I mentioned last week (somewhere) I have started Summer Camp today. This means instead of my usual two days off per week, it’s now been reduced to one, with the inclusion of a bunch of additional classes. It means most of us are rather hectic trying to get all our lesson planing done, seeing as our lesson planning time has been partially eaten up by all these classes.
I, personally, wasn’t looking forward to today. For one, my cold has set in, I’m dead tired (despite a full night’s sleep) and my nose is blocked. I’d like nothing more to do than roll up into a ball and go to sleep in my bed. But alas, the God’s where shining on me today and the one class I had today, a one-on-one class (my hell really starts tomorrow) was cancelled for the week (on Friday, too) giving me a solid day to lesson plan.
If that wasn’t enough good fortune, 2 of my classes I thought I needed to plan for are already done, courtesy of having already done the same exact lessons less than a month ago. Right there, is a good 2 hours saved.
Another of my classes is also a test class, so no lesson planning is required there either.
I made sure I locked myself into a quiet classroom this afternoon and have been typing non-stop for about 3 hours. Excellent progress.
As a result, I have about 2 or 3 more classes I need to plan for (plus review my summer camp pre-made lesson plans) and then I don’t have to worry about it for another week (of course I’ll try plan for classes the week after).
I will try to get some photos and video from the concert the other night working.
Let’s finish off these last few things!
